30 Jan 2023

SBS BoatLife has announced savvy navvy as its official digital partner to deliver its first ever digital floorplan for the second edition of the boat show bringing the boating community together at NEC Birmingham from 16-19 February.

The thousands of people expected at the marine exhibition, will be able to go into their savvy navvy app to find all the exhibitors directly in the app. You can even type in the exhibitor or stand number you’re looking for and see it appear on the map and see your live location to make navigating your way to stands so much easier.

“We set up to innovate the industry through our all-in-one navigation app, so we felt it was only appropriate to ensure that anyone visiting the BoatLife this year can easily find exhibitors digitally too. While we help new and experienced boaters all over the globe navigate more safely, next month we look forward to also enhancing visitors’ experience at the BoatLife show, as they see the joys of boating and the best of what the industry has to offer.”, says Jelte Liebrand, CEO & Founder of savvy navvy.

savvy navvy really is as simple as ‘Google Maps for boats’ and has gone from strength to strength since launching just five years ago. The all-in-one navigation app has constantly been developed with unique and user-friendly features based on feedback from users – giving anyone on the water, whether it’s a paddleboarder, a kayaker, jet skier or someone in a 50ft yacht access to their platform.

SBS BoatLife, held 16-19 February 2023 at NEC Birmingham, will have hundreds of exhibitors, including more than 200 boats under 40m on display. It is a fantastic event for the entire boating community to come together and celebrate their love of life on the water ahead of the onwater season.

“The show is 25% bigger this year, with over 50 more boats so the partnership with savvy navvy has come at a great time to help visitors find what they need quickly and easily within the show.”, says Richard Dove, MD of BoatLife Events.

About savvy navvy
Simplifying boating technology has always been the aim of savvy navvy, founded by lifelong sailor and ex Googler Jelte Liebrand. He was baffled at the amount of data sources you needed to get a clear picture of where you were, what the tide was doing, what weather to expect, how to plot your course to steer and how to find a good anchorage or marina and then how to share your plans with your buddies and family. He focused on tech that is already in the hands of most boaters. So, turning a phone or tablet into your boating buddy seemed like an obvious next step. In less than five years, savvy navvy has attracted global users from all over the world all using the app to help their experience on the water. As part of savvy navvy’s continuous growth, they have expanded to support kayakers, jet-skiers and paddleboarders with simplified navigation.

Today savvy navvy is available on Android, IOS, PC and Mac and can be used on an unlimited number of devices simultaneously. Find out more on www.savvy-navvy.com
